Some things on this list are obvious. Others aren't, and that's the point of writing them down. The reason it matters: undeclared items that cause a problem in transit aren't covered under our claims process. Two minutes here saves a difficult conversation later.
Strictly not allowed — no exceptions
- ✕Dangerous goods — flammables, explosives, fireworks, compressed gas cylinders of any size, aerosols under pressure
- ✕Weapons and ammunition — firearms, airguns, knives with blades over 6 inches, tasers, pepper spray, any item primarily designed to cause harm
- ✕Hazardous chemicals — acids, corrosives, bleach, solvents, pesticides, any substance that poses a handling risk to the people carrying it
- ✕Narcotics and controlled substances — no exceptions, no quantities. If narcotics or controlled substances are found in the package, the sender is legally liable for all penalties.
- ✕Loose lithium batteries above 100Wh — power banks above 20,000mAh. Batteries inside their original devices are fine.
- ✕Live animals or plants
- ✕Cash, gold, and jewellery — these are not insurable through our service and we cannot carry them
- ✕Original legal documents — passports, property deeds, wills, original contracts. Certified copies are fine.
- ✕Fresh food and dairy — anything requiring refrigeration. This includes raw meat, fresh produce, and anything with a shelf life under 24 hours.
Allowed with declaration at booking
These items travel on our corridors regularly. The difference between a smooth delivery and a problem claim is whether you declared them when you booked.
- ✓Fragile items (glassware, ceramics, instruments, mirrors, framed photos) — declare at booking, bubble-wrap everything before the agent arrives. Your agent needs to know before pickup, not after.
- ✓Electronics within the declared value cap — up to ₹5,000 declared value for the pilot period. Pack in original packaging or equivalent protection. Declare the category and value at booking.
- ✓Sealed liquids (perfumes, oils, packaged beverages) — hermetically sealed, declared at booking, wrapped in case of leakage. Don't pack a liquid next to anything that would be ruined if it leaked.
- ✓Medications — personal quantities only, in original labeled packaging. These should be declared at booking so agents handle them carefully.
- ✓Dry food in sealed packaging — mithai, packaged snacks, achar in sealed jars, dry goods. Must be properly sealed. Declare if there's any risk of leakage (e.g. oil-based products).
What declaration means in practice
Declaring a fragile or sensitive item at booking means: (a) we log it in your order record, (b) every agent in the custody chain knows to handle it accordingly, and (c) if something goes wrong, you have a valid damage claim basis. Declaring after pickup — or after the item arrives damaged — is not the same thing. The declaration has to happen before the parcel moves.
The grey area: food from home
This comes up constantly. The short answer: dry food in sealed packaging travels fine. Fresh food does not. The distinction isn't about care — it's about what survives 24 to 48 hours in a parcel without controlled temperature.
Specifically, what we see travel well: vacuum-sealed mithai, commercially packaged snacks, achar and pickles in sealed glass jars, dry spices in sealed containers, packaged ghee. What doesn't: anything fresh, dairy, curd, anything that needs to stay cold.
If you're not sure about a specific item, ask us before you book. It takes less time than repacking.
Oversized items
Our standard size limits by item type:
- →Carton/box: 60×45×40 cm, 20 kg
- →Suitcase/trolley: 75×50×30 cm, 25 kg
- →Duffel/sports bag: 65×35×35 cm, 20 kg
- →Trek/gear bag: 80×40×30 cm, 18 kg
Cycles, mattresses, and anything outside these dimensions need a custom quote. Contact us before booking — we can usually accommodate oversized items on specific corridors, but we need to confirm first.
When in doubt
Contact us on WhatsApp before you book. We'd rather spend two minutes telling you something doesn't work than deal with a mid-transit problem. And if something is borderline, we'll tell you exactly what declaration and packing would make it shippable — not just turn it down.
